Hey my beautiful readers, in today’s
post I will be reviewing H&M eye shadow palette. This palette is perfect
for girls who are on budget but yet loves experimenting with new looks. I love
wearing smokey eyes especially brown, which I believe complements any eye
colour. I came across this palette on H&M website when I was holiday
shopping for my November trip to India last year.
The price of this eye shadow palette is £9.99 & available in 9 shades which are: super naturals, midnight and silver, aubergine dream, smoky essential, smoky nudes & ready set & glow. Each palette contains 9 versatile and coordinated shades, which are carefully selected by H&M makeup artist. As there are various shades to select from it makes it easier for everyone to find their perfect eye shadow palette.
The palette I bought was ready set & glow as it contains good mixtures of matte nudes to metallic. As I was visiting hot country I wanted my makeup to be natural as possible thus decided to go with this eye shadow palette. It also contains good mixtures of dark shades which are perfect to do smokey eye for the night out & perfect metallic shades to do party or Indian makeup look.
The texture of this eye shadow is very soft thus easily can be applied using the eye shadow brushes. I apply my eye shadow using Real Technique eye shadow brushes. The eye shadows are highly pigmented especially darker shades; however lighter shades require more than one application.
The packaging of this palette is quite simple and really like the colour as its black and white, with H&M logo printed in gold. I also like that the palette comes with a mirrored compact which makes it very convenient to take anywhere.
Pros
:- longer lasting, highly pigmented, affordable , & available in
various shades
Cons
:- matte eyes shadows are not pigmented ( as you can tell from below swatches)
There are various eye looks can be create using this palette but 3 of my favourite looks are as follow: - perfect nudes, smokey eyes and metallic shimmer eye look.
For all this looks make sure you prime
your lid with eye shadow primer & set it off with matte powder to prevent
eye shadow from creasing.
For perfect nude look start with applying
number 2 from the palette all over the eye lid using flat brush and number 6 in
outer corner of the eye using the blending brush. This is one of my
favourite look to wear which I have been wearing since November last year , thus you see I have nearly finished those two eye shadows. If you like me who likes
wearing eye liners you can finish the look with black or brown eye liners and
mascara.
For smokey eye start with applying
no. 5 all over the eye lids and number 8 in the outer corner of the eye.
Blending is very important in smokey eye so it’s better to take time blending
the eye shadows. Finish it off with no.9 which is matte black by applying in
lower lash line and mascara.
Last look is perfect for any Indian function and it goes with most of the Indian outfit. Start with applying no.5 or no.6 all over the eye lid using flat eye shadow brush & for out corner there is option to use no. 3 or no. 7 (for intense look). Finish it off with no.1 in the corner of the eyes, winged liner, and mascara.
