Rimmel Match perfection foundation review

Happy June my beauties. Today's post is about my favourite foundation, which I have been using for a year now. It's Rimmel match perfection foundation. The price varies between £4.99 to £6.99, but currently it's being offered at Superdrug for £4.99.

The shade I am in is 103 true Ivory, which is the perfect shade for me. It is a light perfecting radiance foundation contains SPF 18. It's available in 10 shades which makes it easier to find the perfect shade. I would highly recommend this product especially for dry to sensitive skin. I have used various other foundation which did cause me little breakout but this foundation has no side effect.  Also I believe wearing SPF is necessary whether it's winter or summer as it protects the skin against the skin damage. Did you know according to the daily mail 80% of skin ageing is caused by the UV rays.

The bottle has a pump thus makes application easier. One of the criteria which I check before purchasing any foundation.  The consistency is very watery  thus  easily blend able and  light weighted. Also do shake the bottle before using due to higher water consistency.  It has very subtle floral fragrance which I love and it's not harmful for the sensitive skin. It leaves dewy finish which I absolutely like wearing during the summer as summer for me is about having radiant skin. Another reason I prefer the dewy finish compare to matte finish is it gives a fresher look. However if you have oily skin I would not recommend this foundation as it has dewy finish which may make your face appear more oily but if any of oil skin people has tested this product I would love to hear from you.

I apply this foundation straight after moisturising my skin but sometime I use the Benefit primer under the foundation if I want my foundation to last all day. I apply the foundation using the Real Techniques miracle complexion sponge or Real Technique brush. I only take 3 to 4 pump which gives amazing coverage to my small scars and redness. I  have been wearing this foundation for 6 to 8 hrs without primer but it does require the touch up. For touch up I have been using the Rimmel Match Perfection powder which is perfect to carry in your handbag as it come with sponge and mirror, but I always carry kabuki brush. After completely blending this foundation it leaves skin looking radiant this because according to the package the foundation is enhanced with saphire radiance for an illuminating glow which last all day.

Lastly, the foundation contains advanced smart technology for perfectly flawless skin under any light. So whether you take picture in the bathroom or at work it never changes natural colour. As you can see from the picture left picture was taken in the bathroom and right one was taken in bedroom. (please excuse my eyebrows)
