H&M Eye shadow palette review

Hey my beautiful readers, in today’s post I will be reviewing H&M eye shadow palette. This palette is perfect for girls who are on budget but yet loves experimenting with new looks. I love wearing smokey eyes especially brown, which I believe complements any eye colour. I came across this palette on H&M website when I was holiday shopping for my November trip to India last year.

The price of this eye shadow palette is £9.99 & available in 9 shades which are: super naturals, midnight and silver, aubergine dream, smoky essential, smoky nudes & ready set & glow.  Each palette contains 9 versatile and coordinated shades, which are carefully selected by H&M makeup artist. As there are various shades to select from it makes it easier for everyone to find their perfect eye shadow palette.

The palette I bought was ready set & glow as it contains good mixtures of matte nudes to metallic. As I was visiting hot country I wanted my makeup to be natural as possible thus decided to go with this eye shadow palette. It also contains good mixtures of dark shades which are perfect to do smokey eye for the night out & perfect metallic shades to do party or Indian makeup look.

The texture of this eye shadow is very soft thus easily can be applied using the eye shadow brushes. I apply my eye shadow using  Real Technique eye shadow brushes. The eye shadows are highly pigmented especially darker shades; however  lighter shades require more than one application.

The packaging of this palette is quite simple and really like the colour as its black and white, with H&M logo printed in gold. I also like that the palette comes with a mirrored compact which makes it very convenient to take anywhere.

Pros :- longer lasting, highly pigmented,  affordable , & available in various shades
Cons :-  matte eyes shadows are not pigmented ( as you can tell from below swatches)

There are various eye looks can be create using this palette but 3 of my favourite looks are as follow: - perfect nudes, smokey eyes and metallic shimmer eye look.

For all this looks make sure you prime your lid with eye shadow primer & set it off with matte powder to prevent eye shadow from creasing.

For perfect nude look start with applying number 2 from the palette all over the eye lid using flat brush and number 6 in outer corner of the eye using the blending brush. This is one of my favourite look to wear which I have been wearing since November last year , thus  you see I have nearly finished those two eye shadows. If you like me who likes wearing eye liners you can finish the look with black or brown eye liners and mascara.

For smokey eye start with applying no. 5  all over the eye lids and number 8 in the outer corner of the eye. Blending is very important in smokey eye so it’s better to take time blending the eye shadows. Finish it off with no.9 which is matte black by applying in lower lash line and mascara.

Last look is perfect for any Indian function and it goes with most of the Indian outfit. Start with applying no.5 or no.6 all over the eye lid using flat eye shadow brush & for out corner there is option to use no. 3 or no. 7 (for intense look). Finish it off with no.1 in the corner of the eyes, winged liner, and mascara.

New Year Resolutions - 2017

Hello my beautiful readers, wishing all of you a very Happy New Year.  A new year means new opportunities, new beginnings, new hope and time to set new resolutions.

Kiko Milano Haul

Today's  post is about Kiko Milano makeup haul. I discovered  this brand via Instagram, and ever since I have used this  product  it has become part of my everyday makeup routine. I was very excited and  interested in trying out their limited edition summer collection as their shades were very appropriate for summer wear and their packaging is so pretty.  I don't know if it's only me but for me packaging is one of the  key element in influencing my purchase.

First thing  I bought was this Kiko Milano's DD cream  from their  limited edition summer collection 2016, which is inspired by the passion for travel.  I bought this in shade light but there are 5 different shades available, priced at £12.90. Second thing I bought from their summer collection was their lipstick which is in shade 01 canyon rose, the price of this lipstick is £13.90 and its available in 16 shades.  I also bought a lip gloss from their limited edition in shade vanilla, priced at £10.90  and available in 3 shades. I  will be doing the detail reviews on the their limited edition summer collection, which I will notify via social media.

I really wanted to get some new nail varnishes and when I was buying their summer collection they had good offers on their nail varnishes. From their quick dry nail lacquer collection, which were on  offer for £3.90 each  I bought 2 shades 805 cherry pink and 843 pearly orchid pink. I also bought 282 coral pink and 360 strawberry pink from their nail lacquer collection, which priced at £2.50each  as they were on offers. There are various colours available from both collections.
Lastly, I bought 2 blushes from their rebel touch collection in shade 01 velvet peach and 02 adorable pink, priced at £4.90 each, available in 4 shades. The blush comes in a case with the internal mirror, which makes it travel friendly.  I was very impressed  with their delivery timing, stock availability  and durability of the makeup, thus  I decided to make some more orders online  for their mascaras. I  bought Luxurious lashes maxi brush mascara in shade black, I really liked the brush of  this mascara as its easier to apply and within 2 coats of this mascara  it makes your lashes appear fuller and voluminous. Top tip, apply the Benefit primer before applying this mascara and you will not need to wear false lashes.
I hope you like reading about my first Kiko Milano's haul post, like I said earlier I will do the  review on their  summer collection products, which I will notify via social media. If you like this post, please do share it.
